Sju Svåra År releases their new EP ”Ingen Tog Det Som Ett Skämt” (Nobody Took It As a Joke) February 23th at Gaphals. Four songs with deep poetry three-chord-punk touching both the heart and mind.
Dark, yet hopeless melodies fill "Ingen Tog Det Som Ett Skämt", where the glimpse of the eye and the kitchen sink realism was mixed with seriousness and political humanity. The band is always uncompromising with a lot of heart and pain. At the band, "quality before quantity" is a guiding star where the EP follows the band's debut album and latest release, "Storma varje hjärta", released in 2012.
Josefin Finer talks about the new EP:
"I'm more angry now. hypocrisy, the lack of solidarity, housing careers, fast money, capitalism that forces people to become idiots, people who do not mind it. There is so much that does not work, but we are many who refuse to give up. Our music is part of that resistance. We refuse to look away! "
Sju Svåra År was formed in 2001 and released its debut album "Storma varje hjärta" 2012. The band is a precursor to the wave of Swedish-language punk swept across Sweden in the early 2000's. Sju Svåra År have paved the way for acts like Vånna Inget, Knugen Faller and Masshysteri, in addition to the music the common denominator is a precise, deep and touching contemporary poem.
