The US reggae-punk/alternative rock trio Sublime have spent the summer promoting a new single entitled ‘Ensenada’ in their home territory. Issued in mid-July, it has just become the band’s first no. 1 song in almost 30 years, topping both the Billboard Rock & Alternative Airplay and Mediabase Alternative Radio Charts. It has also earned them the record for the longest gap between no. 1 songs in Alternative radio chart history at 28 years and 10 months!
The US reggae-punk/alternative rock trio Sublime have released a new single today entitled ‘Ensenada’, Marking a significant milestone for the band, it is the first song written by the trio together since Jakob Nowell - son of founding frontman Bradley Nowell - stepped into the role of lead vocalist and guitarist in late 2023, joining his uncles and band co-founders Bud Gaugh (drums) and Eric Wilson (bass).
