AIMING Sail & Wreck EP Blackjack Illuminist Records David und Jordan kredenzen einen Mix aus Ambient, Shoegaze und Wave. „Our Voices at the Bottom of the Ocean“ beginnt leicht tagträumerisch, mit Pop-Appeal und stoischem Rhythmus, bis im Intermezzo sägende Riffs die Eintönigkeit durchbrechen und der Kontrast aus Noise und Pop ein bizarres Klangbild ergibt. „First at the Accident“ setzt dann stärker auf Electro-Pop-Beats und nebulöse, weiche Vocals, die lange nachhallen.
